New York, NY July 10, 2004 -- IFC Films, Third Eye Motion Picture Company and Metallica invite you to submit your A-list talent for attendance at the New York City Premiere of the highly anticipated documentary, Metallica: Some Kind of Monster. Looking far beyond the icon status and modern musical masterpieces, Metallica: Some Kind of Monster is an odyssey that affirms the creative process as much as the product. Monster proves that cool isn't only about hair-flipping and testosterone, but is an entertaining, intimate examination of the day to day lives of a band who defied all odds, defined the heavy metal genre, and continue to break through from generation X to the Y's and Z's - while on their path to transcendence. Confirmed arrivals include Documentary filmmakers Joe Berlinger & Bruce Sinofsky, James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett & Robert Trujillo of Metallica and much much more.

Metallica: Some Kind of Monster is an IFC Films release, Produced by Third Eye Motion Picture Company and @radical.media. The film is owned by Metallica, directed and produced by acclaimed documentarians Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky, and Executive Produced by Berlinger, Jon Kamen and Frank Scherma of @radical.media. Metallica is James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett & Robert Trujillo. The film opens July 9, 2004.
